Geof Kaufman is a retired Navy Limited Duty Officer (LDO) with more than two decades as an administrative and personnel professional. His enlisted career consisted of more than 11 years and promotions up through the ranks to Chief Yeoman. During this time, he worked in administration and personnel as a Yeoman on board the submarines USS FINBACK and USS SAN JUAN. He also performed duties as the personal administrative assistant to the U.S. Submarine Group Commander in the Mediterranean, and as a manpower and personnel specialist at the joint military service organization, U.S. Central Command.
After earning a commission within his specialty, he spent another decade in administration and personnel, this time as a senior manager in roles such as Administrative, Personnel and Executive Officer at several Navy organizations. Additionally, he served as Administrative Department Head on board the large-deck amphibious assault ships, USS BELLEAU WOOD and USS ESSEX, with cognizance over administrative and personnel programs for more than 1,200 people.
Upon retiring from the Navy in 2006, Geof helped his wife, Heidi grow her community welcome service throughout Kitsap County before accepting his current position with the Olympic College Readiness Response Institute.
