OC Soccer Knocked Out of Playoffs
The Ranger's women's soccer team qualified for the NWAAC playoffs this season, but lost to Shoreline Wednesday in a close game 2-1. Coach Dick Lowry said, "My girls played really well, we were not outplayed...This is my building year." Read More Here

Those Who Need Extra Help Get It With OC Program

Integrated Basic Education Skills Training (I-BEST) is a nationwide program offered at community colleges and technical schools. Washington is the first and only state to implement this program, which started in 2003. The program enables students lacking a GED or a high school diploma to receive a college degree and advanced training. Three I-BEST programs are available at Olympic College: Nursing Assistant, Welding, and Early Childhood Education. Read More Here

$4.5 million facility-the Sophia Bremer Child Development Center (SBCDC) scheduled for grand opening by Winter Quarter 2011. The new facility doubles the current capacity for on-campus childcare avaliable to parents attending OC. Read More Here

Olympic College Seeks Accreditation to Expand Four-Year Degree Programs

An eleven-member panel from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities visited Olympic College to perform an audit that examined the feasibility of the college offering baccalaureate degrees. The college already offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree that received accreditation recently from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.  OC receiving accreditation will give the community more choices in 4-year degree offerings beyond its BSN program.
