Include a white card or object in the scene. Manually adjust the WHITE BALANCE in each shot. Use every WB option you have including AWB. Then look in your manual and perform a Custom WB using a white card and shoot one more shot. In your manual look up White Balance Bracketing. If you have the option, shoot a series of shot using it. PRINT: wallet size or larger prints of each of your WB shots and label them with the WB. You can print on OC laser printers. There will be limited time for printing at the beginning of class. | 1/14/2009 | | 1- Photograph “Edges” Shoot at least 50 photographs. Bring at least 20 digital files (on a flash drive, CD, memory card or portable hard drive) of your photographs to class on 1/14. The images can be in any file format, though it’s most likely that you’ll have them as JPEG or RAW files.
2- In Lightroom, print a contact sheet of at least 30 images using the Print Module.
3- Do any minor editing on the images (cropping, color and tone correction, getting rid of obviously “bad” images) that you want.
4- Print 2 of your favorite images, 5x7 on the same page on the laser printer on laser photo paper (or at home); and a contact sheet of at least 30 images.

You can show the shadow as the total focus of the image or it may be incidental to the subject. LOOK for patterns and shapes. The shadow can be natural or created by flash or other light which you place. Shadows are integral to creating depth in two-D medium such as photography.
